The Appomattox County Historical Society is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity dedicated to preserving the history of Appomattox for generations to come. We rely on the help of volunteers
to run our facilities and take care of them, and on monetary donations from the community to help fund our preservation efforts.
When you donate to the Appomattox County Historical Society, you help ensure the preservation of our County’s history. Your donations go towards the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities,
including the Clover Hill Village and the Appomattox Old Jail Museum and Library. Additionally, donations help to secure, restore and preserve items of historical significance which are made
available to the public in our museum and library.
Lastly, donations help to keep the Historical Society in business, by providing for administrative costs including such things as web and database hosting, office supplies, internet access
and more that relates to the day to day operations of the society. Because all of our staffing is volunteer, your donations are never used for payments to staff.
We greatly appreciate your donations, in any amount, and your commitment to preserving our history for generations to come. Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law, and by
donating using our online platform you will receive a receipt for your donation via email, which you can download and print for your records.
Thank you for your help and generosity!
