The Appomattox Oyster & Seafood Festival is an event sponsored by the Appomattox County Historical Society as a fundraiser to help the organization gather & preserve Appomattox County history.
This year's event is being Presented by State Farm Insurance, Sarah Saunders Agency, in downtown Appomattox.
The event will feature live music all day, craft vendors, wineries, breweries and distilleries, providing the ingredients for a fun-filled event! "Tasting" Tickets ($15 in advance, $25 at the Gate) allow for the (free) tasting, drinking and purchasing of alcoholic beverages; non-drinking tickets are $10 and are basically "General Admission" for those 13 yrs & older; kids 12 & under are $5, while kids 6 & under are FREE.
There will be games & activities for young & old! Food vendors will have a variety of seafood, including fresh Virginia Oysters, crab cakes, gumbo, fish, and for those who would rather be different, we will have BBQ, Hot dogs, Hamburgers, Kettle corn and other delicious foods!
Tickets, when available, will be sold through our website, AppomattoxHistorical.org, as well as local ticket outlets.
This event is a perfect solution to that "cabin fever" and is one of the first Virginia events of the year!
Come join us, Saturday, April 18th 11a-6p!
