The Appomattox County Historical Society will be holding a Membership Meeting at 6 pm on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at our Clover Hill Village facility, 5747 River Ridge Rd in Appomattox, behind the Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.
We will be discussing many things we have planned for the organization in 2021, including our events; the effects of COVID 19 on our fundraising efforts; a membership drive; elections of new officers; and much more. Come out and see the restorations we have performed at our Village and stay for our meeting. We would love to get new members with some fresh ideas to help guide us into the future!
All are welcome to attend! We will, of course, be "social distancing" and we ask that masks be worn.
Due to COVID 19, and the uncertainty of what restrictions the Governor will institute at any given time, we have to, unfortunately, cancel our Appomattox Oyster & Seafood Festival and our Clover Hill Village Wine Festival for this year! We are however scheduling these events for 2021!
The Appomattox Oyster & Seafood Festival will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 11a-6p and the Clover Hill Village Wine Festival will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 11a-6p!!
We will be looking at sponsoring smaller events throughout the year as well! Come to our meeting and get involved! Let us know what type of event you would like to see in Appomattox!
See you then!
